Don earned his Kansas Real Estate Salesperson license in 2000 and promptly joined the National Association of Realtors, The Kansas Association of Realtors, and The Realtors of South Central Kansas. In 2003, he earned his Kansas Real Estate Brokers license and moved to a RE/MAX franchise. Over the years, Don has earned many awards for sales including The RE/MAX Presidents Club, RE/MAX Executive Club, and President's Club level by the Realtors of South Central Kansas. Don has also earned the RE/MAX Cooperative Spirit Award by the other agents in his office for always being available to help.
Don has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation by the Council of Residential Specialist and the Graduate of Realtor Institute (GRI) designation by the National Association of Realtors.
In December of 2018, Don started Wichita Family Homes to have his own company.
Don is a native of Wichita and with the exception of six years during the nineties, has lived all of his life in Wichita. During those six years, he was the parts and service director of a General Motors automobile dealership in Tulsa, Ok. Under his guidance, their service department customer satisfaction index rating rose ahead of every other dealer in their district to the #1 position. Customer satisfaction is the key to running a successful business and that is the philosophy Don brings to real estate.
Don enjoys cooking, making new dishes in the kitchen, and doing projects around the house. He also enjoys walking, bicycling, and dancing to keep in shape. Don has volunteered with many organizations over the years, including, The Lord's Diner and United Methodist Open Door. He also is a fan and gives support to The Ollek Foundation.
Don has earned the respect of his colleagues and clients by successfully marketing and selling unique properties that were labeled as a "challenge." He has accomplished this by using his own creative marketing plans and hard work. After all, there's more to marketing than putting a sign in a yard. Don has the patient to work with buyers to find them the house they will love and will take the time to show them the houses they want to see.
